Bobette Buster is an acclaimed lecturer, award-winning film producer and author, whose workshops are sought after by top media companies and corporations alike, including Pixar, Disney, Sony, Amazon Studios, the BBC, Google, the DO Lectures, WaterAid, SoulCycle and the Future of Storytelling Conference. Her groundbreaking philosophy and process give people the ability to uncover and tell their own stories, often with the result of creating new awareness of their own life journeys and connections to their community. Her unique ability to crack into the heart of story has been transforming the way individuals, entrepreneurs and companies tell their own stories for well over two decades.
Bobette is also a professor who created the first MFA curriculum for Cinematic/TV Story Development at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. She serves on the guest faculties of international universities, including La Femis - Paris, Catholic University of Milan, as well as Tufts University - Boston, where she teaches Science + Storytelling, as well as recently, as Professor of the Practice of Digital Storytelling at Northeastern University.
Bobette Buster’s individually curated lecture series include “How to Tell Your Story Well,” “Deconstructing Master Filmmakers,” “What’s the Big Idea,” and "Satire and the Shaping of American Culture.” She has delivered keynotes at international idea, film, and literary festivals, including the Hay Festival (Wales), Sydney Writers Festival (Australia), along with workshops in-house to media companies, corporations, charities, advertising agencies around the world. Bobette was appointed an American Film Scholar Cultural Diplomat by the US State Department, giving masterclasses to film professionals in the Czech Republic, Uganda and Ukraine.
